For the first time, Denmark will host a European Special Olympics tournament. Athletes with intellectual disabilities from across Europe will gather in Kolding for three days of sport, friendship and unforgettable experiences.

A unique European event
Handball and bowling are not part of the programme for the Special Olympics World Games 2027. This tournament therefore provides an important international competition opportunity and a chance for athletes to meet, compete and build friendships across borders.
Host city: Kolding
Kolding has a strong history of hosting Special Olympics events. In 2022, the city welcomed the Special Olympics Sports Festival, Denmark's largest sports event for people with intellectual disabilities. Building on that experience, Kolding is proud to host this European tournament.
